Dice Date Riddle |

Question

There are two dices with empty faces in front of you and a marker. You can mark any number on each of the faces of the two dices, but you have to display all the 31 days of the month using the two of them.

Which numbers will you mark on which dice so that you can easily depict all the dates of the month?

Answer 1

Dice one will have the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7.
Dice two will have the numbers 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8.

You must be wondering why there is no face with a 9 in it. This is because you can always turn a 6 upside down to make it a 9.

0, 1 and 2 are necessary to be present on each dice. This is because you will have to display 11, 22 and the dates from 01 to 09. Since, we can’t have all the other numbers on the second dice, we must have 0 on both of them.
